Being a corporate leader is one of the loneliest jobs. Even if people underneath and around him/her might show respect or admiration, the leader is most of the time under scrutiny.
Sharing doubts, uncertainties might give the impression of weakness and/or of lack of expertise; so in the most critical moments the leader often feels it's not safe to talk to anyone. This is particularly the case with newly appointed leaders who come from outside the organisation they become the leader of. Loneliness and anxiety are poor advisers: under pressure the leader often feels, then gets isolated.
The Hunting Territory® coach is a trustworthy "sounding board", and an expert in resolving team related problems and in navigating the turbulent waters of corporate life. He / she helps the leader to understand and resolve the structural and communication problems that affect the team's behaviour, culture and performance. The process is situation and problem solving centred rather than educational. During the process the leader learns to see team life through the magnifying glass of the Hunting Territory® and will soon be able to handle similar situations on his/her own.
